Grading System

Report cards are issued on a nine-week basis to all students in grades 6-12 and a twelve-week basis to all student K-5.  Grading is used as a measure of student progress and achievement in mastering particular subject matter.  The parents and/or guardian of a secondary student who is experiencing difficulty in school work shall be notified by mid-term of the grading period.  Elementary teachers will send progress reports for informational purposes during each twelve-week evaluation period.

Elementary:  Elementary schools (K-5) will issue report cards three times during the school year.  Conferences will be during the first and second marking period.

Secondary:  Secondary schools (6-12) will issue report cards four times during the school year.
