The Henderson County School System feels a responsibility
to educate students socially as well as academically. Student dress is an
important phase of social education.
Students should always dress appropriately for the occasion and avoid
extremes in dress, cosmetics and hair styles. Students should feel a
responsibility to present as good an appearance as possible in order that
they may reflect credit upon themselves, their family, school, community and
sponsoring organization. School officials may deal on an individual basis
with dress that will interfere with the educational process or student
discipline.

- primary students. Short-shorts are prohibited.

the interest of developing and maintaining a student body who is well-groomed,
neat and clean. When violations of these policies become manifest, the principal
or his/her representative will inform the student of the violation and instruct
him or her how to correct the discrepancy. If the student then fails to conform,

with the written policy, which will result in disciplinary action.
